Banxico leaves the policy benchmark at 6.50%
The board voted unanimously to hold the rate on September 24. Future decisions will consider inflation, the exchange rate and economic slack.

July’s activity reading beats the earlier estimate
INEGI reported growth of 0.8% from June and 3.3% from a year earlier, seasonally adjusted. The monthly reading exceeds the earlier July estimate of 0.6%.
